Business Development Professional

Internal sales professionals look no further! We are looking for a hands-on Business Development professional to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a driven sales professional who is able to expand into new market segments as well as develop the current client base utilizing both company provided and self sourced leads. We have a solid infrastructure of providing an EDI solution to the retail supplier market delivered through software as a service (SaaS) model. Initially, at least 50% of your role will be to prospect, prospect, prospect! We will give you daily, weekly, monthly, and performance bonus incentives. For every qualified appointment you will get a bonus. You will be working closely with an experienced EDI sales specialist and will have the opportunity to expand into full cycle sales responsibilities within the first year.

This position provides a base salary plus commission for new appointments and closed deals.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Open new markets for our services through marketing and sales efforts.
  • Develop, and close prospects and stay in contact with existing clients.
  • Perform product demos using web tools to prospects and customers.
  • Effectively work with a client data management system.
  • Work closely with Support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Create and manage targeted marketing efforts

MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Experience in highly competitive markets.
  • Teamwork and good communication skills a must.
  • Four year university/college degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to visit customers and prospects in New York City and the tri-state area.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Proven B2B sales experience with inbound/outbound phone calling
  • Computer proficiency - experience with CRM or other Contact Management system is preferred.
